Aye Pickled Tiples


It’s World Cocktail Day and to celebrate, we’re introducing you to some of the ways you can add an Aye Pickled twist to your cocktails.  

Here’s two tasty cocktail recipes that are sure to tickle your taste buds. 

 

Kicking Kimchi Bloody Mary
A brunch essential… made better with the addition of Kimchi! 
It’s spicy, boozy, sweet and savoury.


Ingredients:

  • 50 ml vodka
  • 115 ml tomato juice
  • 15 ml lemon juice
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 1 tbsp Aye Pickled Kimchi brine
  • 2-3 dashes Kimchi Hot Sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of celery salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Aye Pickled Kimchi for garnish
  • Celery stalks for garnish
  • Optional: additional hot sauce or chilli flakes for extra heat

Instructions:

  1. Rim the edge of a glass with celery salt: Wet the rim of the glass with a lemon or lime wedge, then dip it into a plate of celery salt to coat.
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  3. In a shaker, combine vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, lime juice, Aye Pickled Kimchi brine, Kimchi Hot Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, and black pepper. Shake well to combine.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over ice.
  5. Garnish with a stalk of celery and a skewer of Aye Pickled Kimchi.
  6. Optional: For extra heat, add a few drops of hot sauce or sprinkle with chilli flakes before serving.

 

Aye Pickled-Tini!
If you like your martini dirty, then why not replace olive brine with pickle brine. But maybe just stick to the one! 

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml vodka or gin
  • 15 ml dry vermouth
  • 15 ml Aye Pickled pickle brine (from Aye Pickled Bread & Butter Pickles)
  • Aye Pickled Bread & Butter Pickles for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add vodka or gin, dry vermouth, and Aye Pickled pickle brine to the shaker.
  3. Stir well until the mixture is chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass.
  5. Garnish with a skewer of Aye Pickled Bread & Butter Pickles.
  6. Optional: Add a further splash of pickle juice directly into the martini for added flavour.
